Founder
Pastor Y. S. Devasundaram is recognized as the founding leader of the Federation of Pentecostal Churches (FPC). He was a committed servant of God with a deep burden to see unity among Pentecostal pastors and churches, particularly in Kanyakumari District and across Tamil Nadu.
In 1984, in response to the vision he received from the Lord, he initiated a fellowship of ministers known as “Deva Uzhiayar Aikkiyam” (Pastors’ Fellowship). His desire was to bring pastors together in prayer, mutual encouragement, and spiritual accountability. Through consistent leadership, prayer gatherings, and guidance, this fellowship grew steadily in strength and influence.
With a broader vision to include churches and believers, he played a key role in establishing and registering the Federation of Pentecostal Churches in 2006. His leadership emphasized love, unity, sound biblical doctrine, and structured organization within the Pentecostal community.
Pastor Devasundaram’s legacy is marked by his commitment to prayer, unity among ministers, doctrinal faithfulness, and the expansion of Pentecostal fellowship across multiple districts. His foundational vision continues to guide the mission and direction of the FPC.
